Organisation

Simavi is a small, flat organisation with an open and dynamic organisational culture. Simavi has 42 employees working at the main office in Haarlem, the Netherlands. In Indonesia there are 3 employees working at the office of the SHAW Programme. In addition to the Chief Executive and the executive secretary/office manager, the organisation has three departments and the secretariat of the WASH alliance:

• The Programmes Department - responsible for programmes and relations in developing countries and for institutional fundraising.
• The Communication and Fundraising Department – responsible for communication and mobilisation in the Netherlands, for corporate and private fundraising and for policy influencing in the Netherlands and globally.
• The Finance and Administration Department – responsible for financial administration, the quality system and human resources.
• The secretariat of the Dutch WASH Alliance (DWA) – responsible for managing the MFS II – WASH programme.
